Lord, teach us not to focus on our love ourselves, Do not love only ourselves,
Do not love only those we love.
Teach us to think of others, loving first ones that nobody likes.
Lord, make us suffer the pain of others.
Give us the grace to understand that every moment,
While we live a fairly happy life, protected by You,
There are millions of human beings, who are also your son and our brothers and sisters,
starving without deserving to die of hunger,
who die from cold without deserving to die of cold.
Lord, have mercy on all the world's poor.
And forgive us for having abandoned them for fear unreasonable,
and does more, Lord, that we live happily alone.
Make us feel the anguish of the universal poverty, and liberate us from ourselves.
Amen.
