Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 5, 20-22,27-28,33-34,37

Yes or no?

As the disciples gathered around Jesus on the mountain, he told them: `` I declare to you: Unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. You have heard that it was said by them of old Thou shalt not commit murder, and if someone commits murder, he will respond in court. Well, I tell you: Any man who gets angry against his brother will answer in court. (...) You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt not commit adultery. Well, I tell you that whoever looks at a woman and desires, has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (...) `` You have heard that it was even said to the ancients: Thou shalt not bear false oaths, but acquit you of your vows to the Lord. Well, I tell you not to make any oath. (...) When you say: `` Yes, it is a `` yes `` When you say `` no, whether a `` no ``. All that is increasingly comes from evil. ``

Small comment

Human life is precious because man was created in the image of God . Giving and taking life is something that only God has the right to make because life comes from him. Here Jesus teaches us: 'Do not commit murder' relates the thoughts of our heart. This means that we must not hate others or hold grudges. Open our heart to anger is like murder. And if we allow our anger to arise violently throwing insults words, we risk going to hell. Making an oath or swear before God is serious business, so we should not swear at the instigation of pride or passion.

When Jesus said: `` `` not to swear, he wants to say `` we do not swear to affirm the truth of what you say ``. God's people must always tell the truth, so we did not need to swear. We do not have the strength to keep the vows unwary. Jesus reminds us that we can not make a single white or black hair. That simply means your word Yes Yes, your No, No. Yes, every word that comes out of our mouths is a witness for or against us. One might think: the heart raises the question answers and mouth. They are both in agreement. But we must say `` yes''when the case `` and `` not the same.

Your Move!

Yes or no?

Here are two situations:

1 - An object has disappeared in the classroom. The teacher or the teacher asks if thou hast taken. You reply:

No, promised, swore!
No, I assure you.
No, trust me.

2 - A friend asks you for help in math, but you do not have time. You say: We hear

later.
Yes, yes ... No I'm sorry
(e) but I really did not have time.

Jesus said: `` When you say `` yes ``, whether a `` yes, when you say `` not `` be it a `` no.

`` What he wants, c is that our words are sincere. It must be a reflection of what our heart feels. It also asks us not to swear, but we trust each other.
